# 1.1 - Law Enforcement Code of Ethics

> Ethical commitments expected of Law Enforcement Officers under DPS.

As a Law Enforcement Officer, I recognize that I am entrusted with special authority by the Commissioner of DPS and the public I serve. This trust requires me to conduct myself according to the highest professional and ethical standards.

I therefore commit to the following:

* I shall enforce the law in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of San Andreas, ensuring equal protection, due process, and fairness to all.
* I shall conduct myself in a manner that reflects honor, integrity, and professionalism, serving as an example to fellow officers and the public.
* I shall maintain honesty and integrity in both my professional and personal conduct, recognizing that my actions reflect upon the Department at all times.
* I shall accept responsibility and accountability for all persons, property, and authority entrusted to me.
* I shall exercise discretion, sound judgment, and restraint in the performance of my duties.
* I shall uphold this Code of Ethics and accept personal responsibility for encouraging my peers to do the same.
