# 5.7 - Civilian Ride-Alongs

> Authorization and restrictions for civilian ride-alongs.

### Authorization

* Supervisor approval required
* Valid ID & waiver required
* Full search & issued vest mandatory

### Restrictions

* No priority calls
* One civilian per vehicle
* No access to MDT, radios, or equipment

Ride-alongs may be terminated at any time for safety or operational necessity.
