# 6.1.2 - Conditional Seizure Items (Seize When Linked to a Crime)

> Items seized only when reasonably linked to criminal activity.

The following items are seized **only when** they are reasonably connected to a crime, used during a crime, or identified as proceeds/instruments of a crime:

* Jewelry *(confirmed stolen or obtained via robbery—e.g., Vangelico)*
* Drugs under legal limit / prescribed drugs *(only when unlawful possession, trafficking intent, or crime linkage is established)*
* Boosting equipment *(laptops/USBs when caught boosting)*
* USBs / hacking tools *(when used or possessed in connection with cybercrime or burglary)*
* Blue lockpicks *(house burglary tools)*
* Melee weapons *(only when used in violent crime, aggravated threats, attempted murder, or similar)*

> **Documentation Requirement:** Conditional seizure requires an incident report narrative that links the item to the crime.
