The Field training program is used in the Department to train cadets successfully. These Officers are in charge of Academy training, ride-a-longs, solo tests, and supervising the entire program. The program consists of:
  • Academy instruction
  • Supervised ride-alongs
  • Progressive skill evaluations
  • Solo testing
  • Ongoing performance documentation
All training personnel assigned to the FTP are responsible for maintaining consistent standards, documenting performance, and ensuring trainees are prepared for independent duty.
