- Think before transmitting. Messages should be deliberate, clear, and necessary.
- Use approved radio codes and terminology only.
- Slang, excessive chatter, jokes, or off-topic discussion is strictly prohibited.
- The radio is an operational tool, not a social channel.
Transmission Standards
- Communications must be concise, calm, and clearly spoken.
- Identify your unit and department when initiating a transmission.
- Do not interrupt ongoing traffic unless priority or emergency conditions exist.
- Avoid overlapping transmissions whenever possible.
