All evidence and seized property must be stored in the MRPD Evidence Room (Lower Level, Right Side). Personnel must be clocked in to access the lockers.

Evidence Locker Use

  • Evidence must be stored under the corresponding Incident/Report Number.
  • Evidence tied to an arrest must match the incident/report number associated with that arrest.
  • Evidence must be logged promptly to maintain chain-of-custody integrity.

Special Locker Assignments

  • Locker 999: Miscellaneous turn-ins and destructive/hazardous items
  • Locker 300: Community food/items (non-evidence)
Rule: If an item is not tied to a documented incident/report, it does not belong in an evidence locker unless it is a turn-in stored under the designated special lockers.
