Upon arriving on the scene, scan your surroundings to ensure you are safely able to secure and assess your patient. If you arrive at a scene you are unsure of, radio for PD to clear it for you. When arriving on a shooting scene, stage at least 2 blocks and 90° from the originating calls. Re-locate as needed if the scene progresses. If PD is down and there is no Code 4, please wait for the officers to use their panic button on the 10-13B, as it is the “All Clear” panic button.
