Police K-9 Section
This section establishes the standards, authority, and operational procedures for the San Andreas Department of Public Safety (DPS) K-9 Division. It defines how canine teams are selected, trained, deployed, supervised, and documented to ensure consistent performance, lawful use, and high accountability across all agencies. K-9 operations are considered specialized enforcement tools and must be handled with the same discipline and oversight as any other force option. The canine is not a “prop” or a shortcut—every deployment must be justified, controlled, and documented.
