Department Accountability Program (DAPS)

The San Andreas Department of Public Safety (DPS) maintains a Department Accountability Program (DAPS) to address alleged violations of departmental policy consistently, fairly, and with appropriate documentation. This section applies to DPS personnel, including assigned LSPD and SAST members, and supplements the Code of Ethics & Conduct in Section 1. Department-wide discipline is administered under DPS authority; divisions may not establish conflicting disciplinary schedules without approval.

  • 7.3 — Corrective Action & Decisions: Possible outcomes and separation of infraction severity from final discipline.
  • 7.4 — Review & Appeals: Requests to review or challenge a disciplinary determination.
The source Section 5.4 identifies incident-level DAP assessments but does not establish a cumulative-point expiration, automatic suspension threshold, automatic termination threshold, or appeal deadline. Those rules must be approved separately before being enforced.
This section does not displace criminal investigations, applicable state law, server rules, or the DPS Full Use of Force Policy.
